Heat recovery from compressors
Compressors are one of the least efficient thermal machines. Compression results in high heat energy waste. It can be recovered though. Our offer includes not only heat exchanger module systems, but also a comprehensive turnkey heat recovery system - from the compressor to the energy reception process in the CH, HW, but above all, in your technological process.
Why this is important
Having worked with us, you already know that the 80% of the total cost of ownership of a compressor over its 10-year life cycle is made up of the energy consumed by the compressor. The efficiency of the compression process, in the best case scenario, amounts to around 15%. The lost 85% is converted into heat, which can be recovered in the form of hot water at temperatures as high as 55°C. In principle, 2/3 of the electrical power of the motor can already be recovered as heat on the secondary side of the system, so if your compressor has 45 kW of power, you can recover 30 kW of net heat from it.
Benefits
Reducing the cost of compression and reducing the consumption of gas or electricity for heating in technological processes, CO or HW makes it possible not only to reduce your costs and CO2 emissions, but also to obtain White Certificates. In this system, there are only benefits for anyone who needs to use a compressor.
Unique characteristics
Many compressor suppliers offer their so-called heat recovery systems, which boils down to a well-chosen and controlled heat exchanger system. They cost much more than their market value and close the deal by supplying the heat exchanger itself. Our proposal is firstly to analyse the system and energy potential for recovery, selection of the appropriate size of the exchanger and control automation in the context of the entire heat consumption process on your side, not only the actual heat reception from the compressor. This is a turnkey investment or service (rental).
Course + implementation
The analysis and opening report of compressors. The evaluation of the savings potential available on the compressor heat waste side and analysis of the receiving part to assess the cost-effectiveness of the process. The calculation of the ROI is the basis for making really simple financial decisions afterwards.
